Bureaucratic Illogic

It may have been a computer problem(not sure) at one newsforum site which shall remain nameless. They ask for examples of bureacratic illogic. I gave my example and they posted it and it has since been deleted. I sure hope not at the request by The Region of Peel. So here it is:

I faxed my application to the Region of Peel to live in a co-op apartment. Where the amount of rent paid depends on how much you earn. I knew it'll be anywhere from a 3 to 7 year wait to get a place.

Literally 3 years after my faxed application I get a letter from The Region of Peel where a woman writes she spoke to her supervisor and he said faxed applications are NOT accepted and I must re-apply which would mean another 3 to 7 year wait and I go to the bottom of the list.

Nowhere on this application did it say "no faxes" and on each page of the application it had the Region of Peel's fax number.

It should not make a difference whether I faxed or mailed or delivered the application in person as long as I answered every question on the form.

Why did it take 3 years to tell me? It shouldn't take that long.

And I am curious why was my post deleted from the newsforum as all I said was everything I say in this post. Hmmm? Interference from Region of Peel? May be far-fetched but it seems like it to me as I can't see any other reason for it to be deleted.
