Couple days ago read an article in the Toronto Sun. It seems recently there's been more noise made about the profits being made through service charges for using ATM(Automatic Teller Machines). The company who has such machines, Moneris claims they don't make money off the ATMs.
I don't buy it for two reasons.
Reason #1: They wouldn't be in business if Moneris wasn't making money.
Reason #2: I recall a convenience store owner discussing with me whether or not to install an ATM and according to all the brochures I read, by Moneris(and other similar companies)they were strongly urging the store to install an ATM so the store owner and company who supplied ATM could make money.
